At the ‘science art attack’ workshop on Wednesday, January 17, which featured as part of Kazcare’s school holiday program, children between ages five and 12 experimented with paint, slime, balloons, food, solubility and projectile devices.
They made milk painting prints, pom-pom catapults with paddle pop sticks and rubber bands, and paintings using a crafty pendulum swing mechanism.
Run by Kazcare founder Peter Kazacos’ daughter Marie, who has a double degree in Mechatronic Engineering and Computer Science, the STEAM lab aims to get young ones to explore what happens when science and engineering meet art.
