And they’ve banded together to do something about it.
Tyson Robb was the driving force behind a petition which will be presented to the mayor on Friday.
The petition, which has more than 1000 signatures, is asking council to expand the facilities of the existing skate park, located next to the tennis courts.
He and a few of his friends have been hard at work getting support for an extension of the skate park.
Tyson is just 13 years of age and is in Year 7.
“We started it because the skate park was getting used a lot more because we were all starting to be a bit more active and it was getting overcrowded and dangerous for everyone,” he said.
“We just want the biggest and best skate park that we can get to suit everyone’s needs.” What started more than two months ago has received plenty of support from the community and surrounding villages.

He said between 30 and 35 children used the skate park facilities most afternoons.
After frequenting the park for the past several years, Tyson has identified a need for some smaller ramps which would allow younger children to practice on and beginners to learn before moving onto the bigger ramps.
He hopes a new skate park would include a couple of big ramps, a few smaller ramps and possibly a bowl.
Tyson said they got most of their signatures from door knocking but also attended markets at Exeter and Penrose.
The petition now has a total of 1160 signatures.
The initial aim was for 1000 signatures and Tyson said he wad “stoked” to have reached that target.
The presentation of the petition will take place at the skate park at 4.30pm.
Once the petition is handed over on Friday, Tyson said they would “hope for the best”.
