Community radio station Highlands FM 107.1 has just passed its 30th year of service in the community, and volunteers celebrated in style.
Highland FM’s new website and logo were unveiled at the event, as the radio station continues moving forward.
The new website includes a weekly program guide, information on presenters and an online streaming option.
Presenter Robyn Elliot has been with the station since its creation, and shared some interesting memories.
“I started on the breakfast program, and I remember when we had the ‘name our bull’ competition,” she said.
“I heard a ‘moo’ in the garden, so I went outside and discovered by husband had brought in the bull so people could hear it on the radio and help name him.”
Highland FM 107.1 is one of few community radio stations which is absolutely live.
