Greg Hirst of Brotherhood CMC and organiser of the event will lead the pack as they ride from Picton to Wollongong for Anglicare, many bringing donations of clothing, cash and Easter eggs.
“The clubs attending are trying to get a positive message about motorcycling and challenge the negative anti-association laws that are affecting many unfairly,” Mr Hirst said.
“We are inviting the Illawarra community to support the work of Anglicare and other charities as there are more and more Aussies who are doing it tough.
“Many bikers can relate to this and are happy to help when they can.”
Anglicare Sustainable Living Manager Debbie Magyar said each year more than 3300 emergency relief appointments are made to Anglicare by desperate households who need help, with more than 4200 bags of food given out.
A barbecue at Wollongong’s Anglicare office on Keira Street will welcome the bikers as they arrive around Midday.
“Members of the public are welcome to attend, make donations and check out the motorcycles on display,” Mr Hirst said.
