A trivia night was held at Moss Vale Services Club on Saturday to raise funds for Camp Quality.
Camp Quality aims to create a better life for every child living with cancer in Australia.
More than $5000 was raised for the charity on Saturday night.
The event was organised by Highlands resident Andrew Veitch, with support from Jess Brown.
Mr Veitch's son Hayden was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2009.
Hayden, now 12, has received support from Camp Quality as he continues to undergo treatment.Mr Veitch said Camp Quality had provided "tremendous support" for his family.
He said all funds raised went towards an "amazing cause".
"It's been an amazing event," Mr Veitch said.
The event was held as part of a local campaign to raise funds for Camp Quality.
Over the past six weeks, Mr Veitch and Ms Brown have helped run cake stalls in the Highlands.
The campaign has already raised almost $25,000.
