Close to 500 people gathered for the third annual Mother's Day Classic (MDC) to raise funds for breast cancer research.
The event was held in wet weather conditions.
However, MDC committee member Lindsay Loomes said the weather didn't dampen people's spirits.
"We had the rain, but everyone was still smiling," she said.
"Everyone came dressed up in pink - it was great."
Ms Loomes said participant numbers were slightly below expectation.
"The weather obviously inhibited people," she said.
"But the atmosphere was fantastic, even though there were small numbers."
Funds raised on Sunday were generated for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Last year's event raised more than $26,000 for the foundation.
Ms Loomes said the 2016 final tally wouldn't be available until June.
"We are hoping to raise about $30,000," she said.
There were plenty of highlights at Sunday's event.
There was a successful auction, entertainment was provided by The Webb Duo, there was a Fashions on the Field competition and lots of activities for children.
Participants had the option to undertake a 3km walk or 5km run at Bong Bong Racecourse.
Ms Loomes said more than 80 people decided to run on Sunday.
"We had a lot more [running] participants this year, it was fantastic."
