The Scottish Highlands were brought to life in a small local village for the 38th Annual Highland Gathering known as 'Bundanoon is Brigadoon'.
Pipe bands, games, clans and dancing were among the festivities, which went ahead in all their kilted glory despite some rain and mud.
Bundanoon Highland Gathering vice president and publicity officer Alaistair Saunders wasn't worried about the weather, as "the skin is waterproof, it's only the clothes that get wet".
The sun did its best to poke through the clouds and from about 1.30pm onwards it shone brightly on the makeshift town of 'Brigadoon'.
As with many events in the Southern Highlands, the volunteer power behind Brigadoon was the single reason could take place this year,
"Without the volunteers, Brigadoon wouldn't happen - that's just a fact of life," Alaistair said.
"Having said that, if it wasn't for the volunteer committee who put in all the extra hours and conscientious commitment then the volunteers would have nothing to do."
"It really is a team effort."
The well-known and well-loved events included egg throwing, shot put, water toss, the kilted dash and 'brigaball', along with a selection of special events for 2015.
As this year marks 100 years since the Gallipoli campaign, a Centenary of Anzac Display took place after midday, dedicated to the honour and memory of the Anzacs to acknowledge the sacrifice made by all service men, women and their families.
The Ingleburn RSL Club along with Campbelltown Community Pipes and Drums presented the display, along with lone piper Dr Stephen Ross from the Canberra Celtic Pipe Band.
Dr Stephen Ross performed a tune he composed especially for the event, called 'Brigadoon Remembers 100 Years'.
"We had three new musical acts, a new heavy event from the Tartan Warriors and there's plenty for the kids to do."
The new music acts included Pumpkin Juice, a Celtic fiddle group from Newcastle and Lavoz, a ladies drumming group comprised of women aged between 40 and 80.
"It really is such a great family day out."
