The BDCU Children's Foundation truck convoy was a success again this year, with 80 trucks being sponsored to raise money for the foundation.
"The community response was fantastic," event organiser Rod South said.
Mr South estimated around 400 people came to the Moss Vale Showground to see the trucks on display after they had completed the route.
Mr South praised the efforts of the truck owners who spent hours washing and polishing the trucks for the event. "They helped to make it a spectacle," he said.
"The two lead trucks of the event, one owned by Ray Lidgard and the other owned by Graham Brown and his daughter Cassandra, raised $3000 and $2000 respectively."
Mr South thanked the Moss Vale and District Show Society for allowing the event to take place, and also praised the work of the women at the BDCU front counter.
The BDCU Children's Foundation helps to fund local children's mental health projects in addition to the children's ward at Bowral hospital.
"The fund is local so the money stays local," Mr South said.
"The community and the local transport industry backed us so well."
