Winemaker Tony Cosgriff celebrated receiving two trophies for different wines at two different shows and accolades from James Halliday Australian Wine Companion to add to the winery's earlier awards.
At the Concours Du Vin 2014 competition last month, Centennial's Reserve Pinot Noir 2013 won the trophy for the best pinot noir at the show.
Mr Cosgriff said he was particularly happy with this result as it was judged by French judges with a wealth of experience in the industry.
"This competition is essentially a commerce initiative between Australia and France and gives our wines a chance to be seen by international judges who are critiquing wines from a French perspective," Mr Cosgriff said.
Centennial Vineyards Pinot Noir 2013 is typically cool-climate style with medium bodied texture with rich plum and vanilla notes on the palate.
With the French love of pinot noir and their respected Burgundy region producing some of the world's most prized pinot noirs, Mr Cosgriff said he was thrilled to receive this trophy and the recognition for the region.
Right behind this good news for the winery, came the results of the Boutique Wine Awards for 2014 with Centennial Vineyards taking out the trophy for Best Other White Variety for their Reserve Arneis 2013.
This is a variety that is taking off in the Southern Highlands and Mr Cosgriff said it was good to showcase alternative varieties so the public had options when choosing wines.
"Arneis is sometimes a tricky grape to grow and it can struggle in marginal climates, so it was good for us to come out on top with this wine," he said.
The annual James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2015 was released this month and shows Centennial Vineyards maintaining their Five Red Stars status for the second year in a row.
This is high praise for the winery with two of their wines receiving an outstanding 95 points for the Temprenillo and Blanc de Blanc.
A five star rating from the Wine Companion wine guide requires one wine to achieve five stars for more than three years in a row and Centennial Vineyards have achieved this for the second time this year.
