It was introduced by Member for Wollondilly Judy Hannan, and was attended by local government officials, community leaders, and urban planning experts.
It was held on March 26 at the Moss Vale Services Club.
The forum emphasised that designs that focused on walkability, social interactions and overall community health and the environment should be prioritised.
There were presentations throughout the event, which highlighted different issues.
Neville Fredericks spoke about the importance of walk-friendly and socially cohesive communities.
Wingecarribee Shire Council's executive manager of strategic outcomes Deniz Kilic spoke about council's plans for a new, walkable Bowral South community.
It is one of six new living areas identified in council's Local Housing Strategy, which was adopted in July 2021.
It is now time to implement the strategy through preparing a Master Plan and Servicing Strategy for infrastructure.
Plans for the Bowral South Living Area were a key topic and the community still has time to provide their input.
Community consultations will be held on April 12 (5.30-7.30pm) and 13 (10am-12pm) at the Loseby park Community Centre in Bowral.
The consultations are free to attend and people can register through Trybooking.
Recordings from the event can be found on WinZero's YouTube channel, or the not-for-profit's Mailchimp.
