Line of Latitude II
Bringing cities together
Sue Meredith and Terry Wright met at a school in Cape Town, and both made their way to Sydney. This exhibition presents drawings and ceramics that are inspired by both landscapes. See it all at the Bowral Art Gallery from Thursday, April 4 with an opening at 2pm on Saturday, April 6. Highlands artist and printmaker Tony Ameneiro will open the show. The gallery is open daily from 10am to 4pm.

Dreamy landscapes
Kangaroo Valley artist Anne-France Fulgence presents dreamy, serene and dramatic landscapes from the South Coast in NSW. She was born in Morocco and studied in France, which she credits for her sense of romanticism. She then migrated to Australia in 1989. See it all at the SHAC from Thursday, April 4. The gallery is open every Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Bundanoonian clan dinner
A Scottish feast
Enjoy a Scottish dinner with entertainment from the Bundanoon Pipe Band. People will have whiskey on arrival with a three course meal of popular Scottish dishes. Have a feast on Thursday, April 4 from 6.30pm at the Bundanoon Hotel. It is $80 via Trybooking.
Highlands Hive twilight opening

The Highlands Hive is celebrating its first birthday. Wander through the space and see bonsais, artworks and creators in their studios, do printmaking with the Printmaking Sisters, enjoy food, and shop. You can head to Spud Lane to see Ric Abel painting live and get a massage at Pan's Massage and Nail Art. Immerse yourself in it all on Friday, April 5 from 4pm to 8pm at the Highlands Hive on Hoddle Street.

Celebrating young performers
This free event celebrates young people in the Highlands through performing arts. There will be performances by Oxley College, Bowral and Moss Vale High School, The Highlands School of Performing Arts and St Paul's International College. Enjoy the show at the Corbett Gardens on Friday, April 5 from 5pm to 7pm.
Friday night sketch club
Get creative
Get creative and draw a still life picture, or a portrait of someone else, while enjoying some food and wine. People are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks, and bring a sketch pad. Glasses, napkins, easels and art materials will be provided. Enjoy it all on the first Friday of the month from 6pm to 9pm at Corinne Dany Studios at 4/8 Davy Street, Mittagong. Chamber Music fundraising concert
This weekend
This concert is raising funds for the National Braille Music Camp. The camp The music camp was started to give blind students who are interested in music, an opportunity to learn the Braille code of music. It will be held at St Jude's Anglican Church on Saturday, April 6 from 2.30pm. Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children. Book through Trybooking.
Mushroom foraging tour
Gather and taste mushrooms
Learn about local mushroom species, and harvest, cook and taste different fungi. Tastings will be accompanied by bread and wine. Meet new people and go foraging on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 from 10am to 1pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm. The meeting point is the Penrose State Forest. It is $105 per person through experiencenature.au/product/mushrooms. It is recommended to bring a water bottle, warm jacket, camera and container for any extra mushrooms. Trivia with Portia Turbo
This weekend
Drag queen Portia Turbo will lead this trivia event with a cause. Test your trivia knowledge, bring your own food and drinks, and there will be prizes on offer, along with a silent auction. Pianist John Martin and tenor Andrew Goodwin will bring pieces by Beethoven and Robert Schumann to life. Enjoy it all on Sunday, April 14 at the Berrima Village Hall from 2.30pm. Autumn school holiday art camps
School holiday fun
Dr Mary Lou Pavlovic will lead creative art classes for kids from the ages of four to 12 years old. Activities include painting, creating landscapes, sculptures and more. They will be held at 3/72 Old South Road, Bowral from Monday, April 15 to Friday, April 26. Classes for four to seven-year-olds will be held from 9.30am to 12.30pm, and 1.30pm to 4.30pm for eight to 12-year-olds. It is $135 for a three day camp (Monday to Wednesday), $90 for two days (Thursday and Friday), and $60 for one session. Siblings get a 10 per cent discount.
