This will cause a huge loss to our Southern Highlands.
So many talented teachers have passed on their skills in all forms of art.
Cutting edge jewellery, leather goods, stunning wood furniture, etc leaves our Highlands the poorer.
Over many years I have brought visitors to the gallery.
All have bought beautiful unique treasures.
May the review, bring back, continue and expand on the passed years have showcased.

Searching for relatives
I am collecting information on my Balmain relatives, especially Arthur Balmain (garage owner in Cooma), Nanette Esner B.(Cooma, Bowral and Sydney), Jocelyn B. (Cooma and Bowral) and Owen B. (Cooma and RAAF Pilot).
I would appreciate any information from readers of Southern Highland News.

Push for Multiple Myeloma awareness
Multiple Myeloma - often confused with Melanoma - is such a rare disease that it is overlooked.
I believe there could be more awareness of MM symptoms and, therefore, early detection of the disease may occur.
Further awareness leaflets should be a must.
And on the first page of respectable media with medical updates.
At this stage there is no cure, only management. And pain is indescribable.
Physio is OK to a point but if pain continues I urge anyone with pain in the back to have CT scans.
Every week, 38 Australians are diagnosed with myeloma, an incurable blood cancer that develops in the bone marrow.
Despite this, many people have never heard of myeloma until they, or a loved one, are diagnosed with it.
This May, Myeloma Australia hopes to change this.
The non-profit organisation will launch a myeloma awareness campaign called 38mate, to coincide with National Myeloma Awareness Month this May.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about myeloma and show support and solidarity for the 20,000 Australians currently living with myeloma.
When my husband was first diagnosed with myeloma in March, we had no idea what this disease was and neither did any of my family or friends.
Help us spread the word so that people know about myeloma before they or their loved ones are diagnosed with it.
