Enjoy art with wine and cheese
Have a preview of two unique exhibitions while you sample local wines and cheeses. Peter Nilsson and Luna Ryan will present the exhibition Chard in the main gallery, and Archibald Prize finalist and 2010 Packers Prize winner Nafisa Naomi will have her work in the annex. People will also meet the new artists in residence in the Robertson Studio and hear about their future plans. See it all at the SHAC in Robertson on Friday, February 9 from 6pm to 8pm. Steve Cheers will bring his melodic and modern Australian country music to the Highlands this week. Enjoy the show at CTC Robertson on Saturday, February 10 at 2pm. The doors open at 1.30pm. Address the Demons
Artist Stan Korytnyj tells stories through his work about addiction and the the internal versus external from different perspectives. See it all at the Bowral Art Gallery from Wednesday, February 7. The gallery is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
Life drawing long pose
Get creative
Draw a live model in a French-inspired art studio set up by Corinne Dany. The model will be in a costume and surrounded by themed props. People are encouraged to bring their own charcoal, pens, pencils, sketching paper or pad. An easel, tea and coffee, chairs, bull dog clips and boards will be provided. People can connect with psychics, mediums, healers, get tarot readings and more at this expo. There will also be prizes on offer. It will take place at Mittagong RSL on Sunday, February 11 from 10.30am to 5pm. It is $10 for general entry and $8 for concession holders at the door. Upcycling workshop at CTC Robertson
Being creative, practical and sustainable
Learn about how to turn unwanted materials such as doilies, fancywork, tapestry, needlework, quilting, clothing and household linen into beautiful wearable items. Dress, costume and pattern maker Barbara Combe will lead the class with dressmaker Karen Willmot. Take part in it on Sunday, February 11 at CTC Robertson from 1pm to 4pm. People can bring their own projects and sewing machines, or brainstorm ideas. Bookings are $25 per person and include afternoon tea. Book through Trybooking or at the door.
