The Highlands has been issued with a severe weather warning for heavy rain, hailstones, thunderstorms and damaging winds.

Unstable condition are predicted this afternoon and evening, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Thunderstorms were predicted to impact Berrima and High Range by 2.35pm and Bundanoon, Sutton Forest and Moss Vale after 3pm.
It is likely flash flooding could occur.

The Wingecarribee and Moss Vale SES units are responding to many assistance requests following thunderstorms and heavy rainfall overnight.
The units' Facebook pages said several teams have been sent out to assist the community.
According to data from the Bureau of Meteorology's Moss Vale AWS weather station, 86 millimetres of rain fell in the 24 hours until 9am on November 29.

It follows a severe weather warning for heavy rainfall and damaging winds, which was issued on November 28.
The SES advises that people should do the following:
- Move cars undercover or away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Keep at least eight metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
- Report fallen power lines to Ausgrid (131 388), Endeavour Energy (131 003), Essential Energy (132 080) or Evoenergy (131 093) as shown on your power bill.
- Trees that have been damaged by fire are likely to be more unstable and more likely to fall.
- Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
- Don't walk, ride bikes or drive through flood water.
- If you are trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
- Unplug computers and appliances.
- Avoid using the phone during the storm.
- Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well.
- Stay vigilant and monitor conditions.
