People with a passion or curiosity for quilting can learn all about it with the Southern Highlands Quilters' Guild (SHQG) this week.

The guild is hosting a display from September 8 to 10 at the Mittagong RSL, with demonstrations and more than 60 of their projects on show.
All of the items will showcase different styles of quilting and patchwork that have been offered by professional and in-house instructors at the guild.
They will demonstrate different skill sets and difficulties.
Craft items are also for sale and there is a quilt on offer as a raffle prize.

Staff from the sewing and quilting machine supplier Know-How Sewing Essentials will be hold demonstrations each day, at 11am and 2pm.
The event is being held in the Joadja room.
Entry is five dollars per person via EFTPOS and the display is open to the public ffrom 9.30am to 4pm on September 8 and 9, and 9.30am to 1pm on September 10.
The SHQG has supported a number of charities and initiatives in the Highlands and beyond, such as making squares that were sent to Ukraine to make blankets for refugees during the war.
