There were Willy Wonka's Oompa Loompas, many Harry Potters', Waldos, and Dorothys' just to name a few, that showcased costumes to their loved ones in a parade on August 23.
"I'm so proud of you all, coming dressed as the spirit of the day,"librarian and IT corrdinator Virginia Preddey said to the crowd.
"It's always a great day, it's the funnest day of the year."
It was not just the students who dressed up for the occasion - the teachers also looked their best.
Taking inspiration from this year's book week theme 'Read, Grow and Inspire', they focused on growth, and came as garden gnomes, bees, flowers and hungry caterpillars.
Classes walked around to different songs and high-fived students as they presented their costumes.
Students were then divided into groups and took part in different book-related activities.
One group painted flower pots as book characters and then put soil in them and seeds.
Another took inspiration from the book Jim and the Beanstalk - a twist on the classic tale, where the protagnoist meets the giant and wants to help him.
Taking inspiration from the book, where Jim recorded the giant's height, the students measured one another.
The young readers then enjoyed some cupcakes, took part in other book-related activities and then watched movies.
