Degnan Constructions has been awarded the contract to complete the station and Stabling Yard, with work estimated to begin in early 2024.
A Transport for NSW spokesperson said work would be undertaken to improve the station's precinct for people with disabilities, limited mobility, as well as parents and carers with prams, and customers with luggage.
"Commuters at Moss Vale will benefit from improved access to the station, an upgraded bus stop, and lift access to the station forecourt from the existing Argyle Street footbridge," they said.
"Tactile markers and boarding assistance zones will be installed on the platforms, and the lighting and footpaths around nearby Jubilee Park will also be upgraded."
A new kiss and ride zone, accessible parking spaces, bike racks and coach parking will also be built.

There will be additional upgrades to the station's power services, communications room, and CCTV technology, as well as signage improvements.
Detailed design, planning and heritage approvals are now underway.
Upgrades to the stabling yard will accommodate the new Regional Rail Fleet, which includes newer and safer trains that will travel through NSW, and between, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane.
All work is expected to be completed by late 2025, weather permitting.
