With good coaching from skipper Anderson, Bowral put in a good display to just fall short.
- Stephen Della, Steve Goddard, Mick Spong and Mick Armstrong lost to 23-17.
Items of interest in this match was the range of shots played by all players, with Bowral putting in a creditable performance to go down by six shots.
- Alistair McGhee, Jim Neely, Carl Spilker and Nathan Boyers lost 21-13.
With a little bit of luck, the scores could have been closer, but on the day, Glenbrook was far too strong.
Picton wins
Bowral at home was expected to be hard to beat, but Picton put in a strong performance to come away with the points in a grade 6 clash.
- Reta South, Terry Norwood, Clive Neutze and Bob Crowley was the only successful Bowral side, winning 22-14.
After 17 ends, the scores were locked at 14-14, but Bowral won the last four ends to take home the victory.
- Gordon Lewis, Ian Crow. Gail Fraser and Tony Oakes lost 20-10.
There was little joy in this match for Bowral which trailed 15-4 after fifteen ends.
The Picton skipper, time and again, converted his shots to lead his side to victory.
- Noel Fraser, Peter Cornwell, Graham Hunt and Dave Coltman lost 26-12.
Bowls in the first half of the match was of a high standard, but the second half was all Picton.
This weeks pennants sees Bowral's top grade travel to Penrith while second grade has the bye.
