It is the first time the gallery is partnering with the biennale in Western Australia.
Aunty Velma's great niece Kirli Saunders OAM will lead the tribute.
It will be followed by the return of Burning Man, led by Ben Quilty and other local artists, where members of the public can help create the installation
The event is free to attend.
The event was made possible through a grant via the state government's Regional Events Acceleration Fund.
