The school were successful in obtaining a Commonwealth grant in the planting of trees.
Federal Member for Whitlam, Stephen Jones MP, will be the special guest.
A planting of 8 x single trunk lagerstroemia indica x fauriei 'Tuscarora' crepe myrtle, will provide an attractive approach to the main street of Moss Vale along the Waite Street boundary.
They will enhance the natural beauty of the area, providing colour and character, as well as abundant natural habitat in the local ecosystem.
The trees will grow 6-8m high and 4m wide with intense deep pink flower clusters in summer and rich tones throughout autumn with highly ornamental bark.
A quercus robur English oak will be planted in an open location on the grounds, as a commemorative long-life tree for the Queen's Jubilee and to complement the Henry Parkes Federation Tree in Berrima, planted in 1890.
This project received funding from the Australian Government's Planting Trees for The Queen's Jubilee Program.
