Wingecarribee Shire Council is encouraging residents to pick up their free map and start planning for this year's Southern Highlands Arts Trail.
The council's Director Corporate Strategy and Resourcing, Ms Carmel Foster, said this year's Arts Trail provides an opportunity for artists to showcase their work in their studio and sell direct to the public.
"This year we've got 50 studios and eight galleries displaying works from more than 80 artists joining us as part of the Trail," she said.
"With so many studios open the key is to grab this year's trail map nice and early and plan your trip in advance."
The Arts Trail will be held over the weekends of November 5 and 6 and November 12 and 13 from 10 am to 5 pm.
"The Southern Highlands has long been a place favoured by artists with the area providing the perfect conditions for inspiration and creativity," Ms Foster said.
"And the Arts Trail is a fabulous opportunity to see beyond their studio doors and witness the creative processes that go into their beautiful works of art."
Mediums on display will include both traditional and contemporary paintings, ceramics, woodworks, textile arts, photography, glass, sculpture, printmaking and jewellery.
"All studios will be open free to the public but be prepared to be tempted and make some special purchases along the way," added Ms Foster.
