Jointly funded Commonwealth-State disaster assistance is now available across Wingecarribee local government area (LGA).
Federal Minister for Emergency Management, Senator the Hon Murray Watt, said the weather event across the Wingecarribee LGA had caused significant damage.
"Parts of Wingecarribee experienced heavy rainfall and gale force winds and just as we have for dozens of other LGAs across New South Wales, our governments are supporting the clean-up," Minister Watt said.
New South Wales Minister for Emergency Services and Resilience and Minister for Flood Recovery Steph Cooke said the assistance will support members of the community who experienced damage to their properties and will help council with the associated infrastructure damage.
"We saw damaging winds and heavy rain leave significant damage in towns and villages right across the Wingecarribee LGA, which is why we are opening up this assistance to impacted homeowners, business owners and primary producers as well as the local council," Ms Cooke said.
Assistance is being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Here's who is eligible and how to apply
