The underpass will be closed from July 7 until repairs are completed.
A Wingecarribee Shire Council spokesperson said the Range Road Overbridge was being used as the detour.
"It should be back open for the following weekend and is expected to reopen mid-July, weather permitting," they said.
"The council thanks motorists and pedestrians in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any inconvenience."
Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time.
The road closure and repairs come after Bowral received 148mm of rain on Saturday with another 42mm recorded on Sunday.
The SES responded to more than 200 call outs of the weekend.
