Singalong
- May 23, Mittagong Uniting Church, 1.30pm
Come along to make new friends and sing in a safe environment. The Mittagong Senior Citizens Ukulele Group will entertain guests. Attendees can bring a gold coin donation. People can call Shonagh Moore on 4871 1369 for more information.
Bowral Uniting Church Grocery Pantry
The Bowral Uniting Church pantry is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 1pm. The pantry is located around the side of the church's office. Groceries are free and have been donated by local businesses. COVID practices are in place at the church. A free takeaway lunch is also available every Wednesday.
JP Service
Two certified Justice of the Peace volunteers are present to witness documents weekly at the following locations:
- Springett's Arcade, Bowral: every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm.
- Moss Vale IGA: every Thursday from 10am to 1pm.
- Mittagong Market Place: every Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
Railway Street Farmers Market
- Every Thursday, Corners of Railway Street and Spring Street, Moss Vale, 3-5.30pm
Grab some seasonal produce harvested by local growers this week. Attendees also have the opportunity to meet the growers at the market. Those interested can call Elissa Thomson on 0450 276 320 for more information.
Scottish dancing
- Every Thursday, Bowral Presbyterian Hall, 10.30-11.30am
Southern Highlands Scottish country dancing takes place weekly. New dancers are welcome. Residents can call Margaret on 0466166 866 for more information.

Mittagong Junior Disco
- May 28, Mittagong RSL, 4-6pm
Children can dance with their friends at this disco. There are also vouchers to win, which will be drawn on the night. Entry is five dollars per child, with funds going back to children in the Southern Highlands community. You can call 0412 321 555 if you require further information.
The Woodies monthly meeting
- May 28, Moss Vale Showground, 12-3.30pm
Everyone with a passion for woodturning can come along to this meeting. There will be lunch, afternoon tea, demonstrations, tips on how to turn wood, a display of turned items and a show and tell. It is $10 per person. The Woodies meet on the fourth Saturday of the month. People who are interested or want more information contact call Peter on 0418474099.
Caring for our waterways and managing bushland on farms: Glenquarry
- May 28, address TBC, 10am-2pm
Landholders can learn about environmental issues and land management at this seminar. There will be experts present who will talk about farming, land and water management. Registrations are essential, and the address will be sent to attendees prior to the event. It is a free event. Attendees are advised to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, a camping chair, wear sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather. Residents can register via Eventbrite.
Wingecarribee Local Planning Panel
- June 1, online, 3.30-6pm
Three independent experts and one independent community member will come together to determine different development applications and provide advice and recommendations on planning proposals. The meeting can be livestreamed on the WSC website.
