Executive Listening Tour: Yerrinbool
- May 10, Yerrinbool Hall, 5.30-6.30pm
General Manager Lisa Miscamble, director of corporate strategy and resourcing Carmel Foster, director of communities and place Geoff King, director of service delivery and projects Karin Targa and place liaison officer Corinne Buxton will provide an executive overview of council. A question and answer session will follow. Seating is free, but limited, and only those who register can attend. Residents can register via Eventbrite.
Bowral Uniting Church Grocery Pantry
The Bowral Uniting Church pantry is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 1pm. The pantry is located around the side of the church's office. Groceries are free and have been donated by local businesses. COVID practices are in place at the church. A free takeaway lunch is also available every Wednesday.
JP Service
Two certified Justice of the Peace volunteers are present to witness documents weekly at the following locations:
- Springett's Arcade, Bowral: every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm.
- Moss Vale IGA: every Thursday from 10am to 1pm.
- Mittagong Market Place: every Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
SHE CWA Pop In trivia fundraiser
- May 12, Mittagong RSL, 6.30pm for a 7pm start
The Southern Highlands Evening CWA branch is raising awareness and funds for Pop In, a space that helps women and children experiencing domestic violence. Pop In provides assistance in-person and online, as well as the opportunity to have friendly chats. You can book teams of up to 10 people, where the winning team will be awarded a prize. Guests can win different raffle prizes and raffle tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $15 each. Attendees are asked to pay at the door, but book their spot through Eventbrite. Scottish dancing
- Every Thursday, Bowral Presbyterian Hall, 10.30-11.30am
Southern Highlands Scottish country dancing takes place weekly. New dancers are welcome. Residents can call Margaret on 0466166 866 for more information.

Railway Street Farmers Market
- Every Thursday, Corners of Railway Street and Spring Street, Moss Vale, 3-5.30pm

Helping Learner Drivers Become Safe Drivers Workshop
- May 17, Zoom, 6-7.30pm
Wingecarribee Shire Council is offering free road safety workshops designed to help learner drivers become safer drivers. Council's Road Safety Officer, Brian Speed, believes parents and supervisors play a vital role in providing young drivers with the experience they need to be safe on roads. It also explores the role of parents in establishing parameters and support for provisional license holders, helping to create a positive environment for both the supervisor and learner driver. Tuning into teens
- Every Wednesday starting May 18 to June 22, 47 Railway Parade, Moss Vale, 10am-12.15pm
Parents and guardians of children between the ages of 12 to 17 can learn about connecting with their kids more through this six week program. The program is run by the Highlands Community Centres and Community Links. It will help attendees create meaningful conversations with children, help teens deal with conflict and emotions, among other things. Registrations are essential.
