A group of people who are passionate about supporting businesses in the region have have been appointed as part of the board of directors of the Business Southern Highlands chamber.

The new directors were elected at the annual general meeting at the Bowral Blacks Clubhouse on April 21.
"We look forward to working strategically across the region to represent and advocate for business," said chair Carisa Wells, who is also the general manager of Regional Development Australia Southern Inland.

"Along with our MOU partners - the Southern Highlands Food and Wine Association and the Creative Industries Cluster, we will work to advocate for our members and associates, host a range of industry events and input into policy developments on behalf of business."
New directors include principal of O'Rourke Consulting Daniel O'Rourke, who specialises in human resources and industrial relations, principal of The Academy Simon Harris, associate director of Steople, Air BnB owner, executive coach and Bundanoon Winterfest chair James Fulford-Talbot, and CEO of Interchange Australia Mark Populin.
They will be joined by the current directors which include Ms Wells, secretary and treasurer Deb Blackah, Kate Ingham, who focuses on communications and strategy, Aaron Thorp in information technology, Shane Wellings in membership and Izabella Lane in events.
