According to Visit NSW, places including the Southern Highlands, the Blue Mountains are Central West are some of the best places to visit during Autumn.
Outdoor activities such as bushwalking, cycling or horse riding are also recommended, so you can take in the stunning scenery as leaves turn from green to red and yellow.
However, if you're looking for activities rather than trips away, here's a list of some of what's happening in the Southern Highlands these Autumn school holidays.
School holidays start Monday, April 11 and end Friday, April 22 with the Easter long weekend falling right in the middle.
PCYC Southern Highlands
PCYC Southern Highlands school holiday activities are run by qualified coaches that have a passion for working with young people in a sport and recreation environment.
Their programs are designed to be affordable for local communities to ensure a cost effective school holiday option for all families. They also accept Creative Kids vouchers.
Activities run everyday from Monday, April 11, except during the Easter long weekend, and cost $40 per day.
Activities include things such as gymnastics, craft, dance, circus, and team sports.

Code Camp Online Programs
Code Camp originally started off holding in-person camps at various school locations, but then expanded to offering their same programs online.
In Code Camp's free online tutorial, kids can choose to make the game Super Slimer, guiding a friendly slime blob collecting coins and avoiding baddies, or Firewall, where a heroic wizard or witch wards off evil spirits.

Sport Activities
Aquabliss Mittagong (Frensham)
The Aquabliss School Holiday Intensive program will be back-to-back days of swimming practice over a two-week period. Each course runs for four days and is the equivalent of one month of lessons in just one week.

Highlands Tennis
Highlands Tennis is offering a range of holiday camps for kids aged between seven and 12. Get a taste of tennis with fresh and professional tennis instruction, grand slam themed activities and hot shot games.

Community Kids Workshops Bowral
Community Kids Workshops ensure all families have the opportunity to manage work and play during school holidays.
Community Kids Workshops, formerly known as Kaz Kids Workshops, is a 'Your Angel Charity' initiative established to provide affordable access to school holiday activities for families in need of financial or mental health relief.
Their workshops are open to all families in the Southern Highlands community with affordable entry for the general public and free entry for households in need of support.
Workshops include Kaz Magic, two Easter cooking fun days and two Aussie fun days.
