While some have come through smooth sailing, others are struggling to keep afloat.
Local small business coach Geoff Lisle is working to help struggling businesses through free financial coaching support with the Rewire program.
"I'm here for any small business owner who might be struggling, worried about cash flow or even just in need of a sounding board with some viable options to consider," Mr Lisle said.
"Even a business with a good plan in place might need an extra eye to provide guidance and support in reaching their goals."
President of the Goulburn Chamber of Commerce, Darrell Weekes, said it was a great program which will be promoted to all its members.
"Most people don't realise programs like this are available," Mr Weekes said.
"There has hardly been a business that hasn't been impacted by COVID-19 and there's really two ends to the spectrum, while some businesses have actually flourished, others have seen total devastation."
Mr Lisle said the free Rewire program was delivered as part of the Rural Financial Counselling Service NSW, with the only thing required by business owners being some time and a commitment to making their business a success.
"With a wide range of contacts, I can connect you with the services you need, to help your business become more resilient.
Mr Lisle said he was very proud to live where he works. He is a Southern Highlands local, who also has a long association with the Goulburn community, so he's seen the problems faced by local businesses firsthand.
"I am here to help you understand your financial position better, help to benchmark your business against industry standards, and help you build your business model by discussing strengths, areas of improvement and growth opportunities.
"With decades of experience in banking and mortgage broking, specialising in equipment finance and debt restructures, I know how to work closely with small businesses in building and coaching high-performing teams and individuals to meet their goals, helping simplify processes and understanding finances to make informed decisions."
Interested business owners are urged to get in touch with Mr Lisle on 0409 344 744 or 1800 570 655.
