The four time Commonwealth Games gold medalist put on a swim clinic on Saturday, March 12 to help some of the kids prepare for the nationals in Adelaide next month.
Besides from talking about swimming techniques, dives and turns, he spoke about how the swimmers could improve in the sport through their diet and mindset.

He said everyone could dream big even if they were from a regional area and encouraged the kids to make a decision, apply themselves and to do everything in their power to achieve their goals.
When it came to motivation, he told the kids to not wait or expect motivation to be there to help everyday.
"It is hard waking up and getting into a cold pool every morning, switch into auto-pilot and create a 'just do' mentality to get yourself to training," he said.
He also encouraged the swimmers to eat more.
"Think about having two breakfasts and/or adding a protein shake to aid in recovery and to provide extra fuel."
Aquabliss Frensham head coach Jenny Balla said the day was a massive success.
"It was a great morning with James sharing his swimming story and technical tips with some of the districts best swimmers."
