Submissions are invited from artists of all ages to showcase their work within the themes of either the humble potato or the glorious Robertson District.
Artists are invited to submit their works at the CTC Robertson between Thursday March 31 to Saturday April 2, 2022.
There are three categories for entries - under 12 years old, 12-17 years old and an Open category. A People's Choice prize will also be awarded.
There are some great prizes on offer. The Open category winner will receive a $500 cash prize plus two premium tickets to a Robertson performance of the Highlands Theatre Group production of The Appleton Ladies Potato Race.
Details of all the terrific prizes in each category can be found on the Potato Festival Art Prize website.
Winners will be announced at a special celebration at the CTC Robertson on Saturday April 9, 2022. The People's Choice Prize of $150 cash will be awarded at the end of the exhibition on Sunday May 1, 2022.
Jenny Kena, CTC President, said, CTC Robertson was thrilled to partner with the very first Robertson Potato Festival.
"We believe that the inaugural Potato Festival Art Prize will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase our local hero - the potato and the beauty of Robertson," she said.
"We are grateful to The Robertson Hotel for sponsoring the major cash prize, as well as to the Robertson Business Chamber, the Robertson Potato Festival organisers and Officeworks Mittagong who have generously contributed prizes."
Everyone in the community is encouraged to pick up a paintbrush, camera, pencil, or other art tool and get creative! Looking for some inspiration?
