The official celebratory launch of the Highlands' first regional gallery Ngununggula has been postponed due to the weather and flooding in NSW.

The launch was supposed to go ahead on March 12, after it was postponed during the statewide lockdown in 2021.
An email and Instagram post from gallery director Megan Monte and staff said they would "save our celebration for when we can come together safely."
"The devastating loss and impact of the floods across NSW have touched us all, and we need to draw our collective efforts into supporting those suffering from this unfathomable crisis," it said.

A new launch date is yet to be confirmed.
The gallery's current exhibition The Dingo Project, will be on display until March 13.
Ngununggula will then close to install the upcoming showcase Goya's Dog by John Olsen, which will be open to the public from March 26.
Updates about the gallery will be shared on the Ngununggula Instagram page or by joining the mailing list at the bottom of the gallery's website.
