The vision impaired cyclist with retinitis pigmentosa (tunnel vision), along with his pilot Richard Vollebregt, have been racing at the top level in both national and state competitions representing the Southern Highlands Cycling Club.
They could not have asked for a better result at the NSW State Track Championships on February 25 to 27 as they earned the title of state champion in all three events they took part in.
They won the 1km individual time trial, 4km pursuit and the flying 200m sprint.

O'Meley said he also had a very successful January with Vollebregt during the national championships in Ballarat.
"Vollebregt and I competed in the Tandem road and time events," O'Meley said.
"We won with gold in the road race and silver in the time trial after a close tussle with Daniel Searle and his pilot Neil van der Ploeg."
Paralympic sports have picked up quite a bit recently, largely thanks to the coverage available on free to air television including the Beijing Winter Paralympics at the moment.
O'Meley was previously the Berrima Sports Award senior winner for February, 2021 for his excellence in the sport.
He wanted to get more people involved with paracycling and experience the benefit.
"I'd like to encourage anyone with a disability to get out and try cycling," he said.
"The Southern Highlands Cycling Club are a great bunch of people welcoming people of all ages and abilities to the club.
"They welcomed me 18 months ago and encouraged me to pursue my cycling dream."
For those interested, you can try the Tuesday afternoon rides during the summer months from 6:30pm.
