A tweet was made by the NSW TrainLink South at 12.55pm announcing the cancellations on the Southern Highlands Line, which runs from Campbelltown to Goulburn.
Commuters are advised to delay travel where they can, consider alternate modes of transport and allow additional travel time.
Limited buses will be running between Campbelltown and Moss Vale.

Trains are still running at the Exeter, Bundanoon, Penrose, Wingello, Tallong, Marulan and Goulburn stations.
NSW TrainLink announced that buses are currently unable to access Bargo, Picton, Douglas Park and Tahmoor due to floods on roads.
Flooding has meant that trains in the Illawarra have also come to a standstill.
More rain and strong winds are expected throughout the day in the Highlands and Tablelands.
