Movie releases
- February 17, 19 and 20, Empire Cinemas
Movie lovers can indulge in a new selection of films this week. Musical enthusiasts can watch a 20th anniversary screening of Chicago on the 17th. The action-romantic-comedy The Spy Who Never Dies also premieres on the 17th, along with the action-adventure film Unchartered.
Opera lovers can watch the reimagining of an ancient Greek myth in Met Opera: Eurydice. The opera will be screened on the 19th and 20th. General admission tickets are $28 and concession tickets are $24.

Ngununggula Nights
- February 18, Ngununggula, 6-9pm
Enjoy live music, cocktails, late-night art viewing and food by Hearth by Moonacres this week! Speed Dial will perform this Friday.
Tickets for adults are $15 each, $12 for concession holders and $35 for a family. Tickets can be purchased here.

Mittagong Markets
- February 19, 8am-2pm, Uniting Church Grounds, Mittagong
Mittagong Markets will be back this weekend. Head down to grab fresh produce, homemade products, special treats for pets and much more.
Open Weekend with Turned Around Studio
- February 19-20, 135 Richards Lane, Joadja, 10am-4pm
Turned Around Studio will be showcasing all of the workshops on offer this weekend. Tutors will demonstrate workshops in furniture restoration, upholstered drop-in-seats, pyrography, Japanese textiles, ceramics, mosaics, upholstered footstools, hand-weaving and woodturning on a lathe.
There will also be a sausage sizzle, Scottish Highland Cattle talks and feedings and attendees can bring a picnic lunch.
Entry is $10 per vehicle.
Harper's Mansion Open Days
- February 19-20, Harper's Mansion
Come and explore the gardens or have a picnic at this historical mansion in Berrima. Attendees are advised to secure a ticket for a timed entry in advance. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite.
Bundanoon Makers Market
- February 20, Bundanoon Public School, 8.30am-2.00pm
The third Sunday of the month means the Bundanoon Makers Markets are back! Be dazzled by stalls offering fresh produce, flowers, arts, crafts, woodwork, ceramics, jewellery and natural products from stallholders far and wide.
Exhibition: Three Wingecarribee Painters
- Until February 21, Bowral Art Gallery, 10am-4pm daily
Gallery regulars the Three Wingecarribee Painters will bring a unique exhibition to Bowral.
Artists Dale Saunders, Michael Eccleston and Stan Korytnyi use their art to comment on environmental and political issues.
Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier Songs From The Book Of Life
- February 23, Bowral Bowling Club, 6-11pm
Deborah and Willy are coming together to spread joy in the Highlands. The dynamic duo have released many albums together, and will perform a selection of songs in Bowral.
People can reserve their tickets until 3pm on February 23. Tickets can be secured here.
End of Summer Plant and Produce Stall
- February 26, Southern Highland Botanic Gardens, 9am-1pm
Come along and discover a range of produce and second-hand books. Attendees can also enjoy a barbecue, cake stall and coffee cart.
Southern Highlands Food and Wine Festival
- February 26-27, Moss Vale Showground
Food and wine lovers will discover an alfresco area full of local eateries, regional producers and markets, with the sound of live music in the air, at this festival.
Attendees can also learn more about sustainable eating with 12 experts in the Olsson's Salt Sessions.
General tickets for the festival are $30 per person, which includes a tasting glass and access to all of the market stalls and live music.
THE VIP experience is $150 per person and includes express access, entry to the VIP marquee and facilities, private parking, a glass of bubbly on arrival, access to all the growers, preferential access to the Porsche in Motion activation and Porsche test drive bookings.
But that is not all.
VIP ticketholders also get a gift box of Riedell glasses valued at $75, the opportunity to taste the classic Chardonnay Chateau d'Yquem, and a valet service for your purchased wines once you exit.

Exhibition: The Dingo Project
- Until March 6, Ngununggula
The Dingo Project highlights the talents of artists such as Danie Mellor, Karla Dickens, Blak Douglas, Lin Onus, Garth Lena, Michael Cook and Fiona Foley.
The project has been curated by Aboriginal curator and writer Djon Mundine OAM FAHA, and pays tribute to Mittagong and the many dingoes that lived in the area long ago.
Trivia Night: Getting Korina back on the road
- March 11, Mittagong RSL, 6.30pm
COVID meant that this event was on hold, but it is making a comeback in March. Korina Valentine was suddenly admitted to different hospitals seven years ago, when she was eventually diagnosed with Sepsis.
She has had parts of her limbs removed and is learning how to walk with prosthetics, and now how to drive.
Korina's family is determined to raise awareness for Sepsis and funds for this next part of her journey.
Tickets are $60 each which include a two-course meal and trivia.
They can be purchased at the RSL desk, or by calling 4872 6700.
Attendees can also purchase two raffle tickets for five dollars and have the chance to win a variety of prizes. First prize is a $1500 Helloworld Travel voucher, second prize is a The Posh Picnic Co voucher for two with Mumm champagne, and third prize is a Rochelle Adonis Cakes and Confections high tea.
Beyond Ordinary: Contemporary Women Makers
- Until April 3, Sturt, 11am-5pm daily
Dale Dryen and Ruth Thompson have come together and curated an exhibition full of female timber masters and artists. Twenty-eight creators will feature in the exhibition full of wood crafts and bronze, ceramic mosaic and porcelain pieces.
