No bull! Curious Charlie the bull gets rescued by the SES
The SES were knights in shining armour and came to the rescue of a very curious bull. Charlie got his head stuck in a hollowed trunk in Avoca this week. The crew in orange made sure to befriend the animal and helped free him.

AnneMarie Brear's tale A Distant Horizon, could take out a top spot in this year's Romantic Novel Awards, which are run by the Romantic Novelists' Association (RNA) in the United Kingdom. The story about famine and new beginnings has been recognised in the Romantic Saga category.

A group of dedicated knitters have been weaving their magic for a cause close to their hearts. The Mittagong group Knitting for Others have knitted over 200 items this year for vulnerable individuals across the region and country. The items will be distributed to the Bowral and District Hospital, as well as community groups.
Daisy Tosh's HSC art project is amongst the top in NSW in ArtExpress
Daisy Tosh thought about being accepted into ArtExpress, the state's top student art exhibition, since they were in Year 7, and the dream has become a reality. The former Bowral High School HSC student's visual arts project It Takes a Village, was one of 43 submissions selected out of 8440, that will tour around NSW.
