An 80 year-old man died after a motorcycle crash on Range Road, Goulburn, on Saturday afternoon.

At about 3pm, January 29, officers from The Hume Police District were notified of a man that had gone for a motorcycle ride, but had not been seen since earlier that day.
A 52-year-old man told police that he was out riding with his friend - the 80-year-old man from Goulburn to Crookwell, when he arrived at Goulburn, and noticed his friend was no longer following him.

A search commenced for the rider in the surrounding area and just before 6pm, police located a motorcycle that had crashed on Range Road.
The body of the 80-year-old Goulburn man, who has been named as Alan Parsons, was located near the motorcycle.
Police said he had been heading back to Goulburn when his motorbike, some 5km from the city, and careered off the road into bushes, some 5km from the city. It was thought the crash occurred at about 1pm.
A crime scene was established, which was examined by specialist forensic police, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
