Click and collect is back at Wingecarribee Libraries

Council's Acting Chief Information Officer, Mr Ian Vong, said library services play an important role in community wellbeing.

"Click and Collect allows library members to access our collections and materials by placing an order online or by phone," he said.

The online catalogue provides access to over 71,000 items including books, DVDs, magazines and audiobooks.

"If customers don't have access to a computer, or are uncomfortable using the online catalogue, they can contact the library and let us know what they're interested in and we'll help them choose up to 10 items based on their preferences," Mr Vong added.

Once items are ready to be collected, library staff will notify customers by phone. Items can then be collected from the dedicated pick-up point located outside the main entry to Bowral Central Library.

Mr Vong stressed that customers must adhere to the NSW Health orders.

"Remember to sign in, wear a face mask and don't visit if you feel unwell," he said.

The Click and Collect service and automated book return chute will operate at Bowral Central Library between 10 am and 3 pm, weekdays.

Items currently on loan from Wingecarribee Public Library's collection will be renewed until January 31.

The Click and Collect service is anticipated to operate throughout the month of January or until further notice.

"We would like to thank everyone for their patience as we continue to work with the health authorities in resuming services where and when appropriate while keeping our community safe."
