Wingecarribee Shire Council's Director Corporate Strategy and Resourcing, Ms Carmel Foster, explained the purpose of the document.
"A DIAP tells people what the council will do to make life easier for people living with disability," she said.
"The plan outlines the steps that the council, in conjunction with our broader community, will implement to make sure residents and visitors with disability have greater access to services, facilities, events and information.
"It also provides recommendations and clear goals in achieving these outcomes.
"Whether you are a person living with disability, a person with caring responsibilities, a service provider or an interested community member, we want to hear from you."
Information provided through the survey will be used to develop the plan in line with the key priorities:
- Attitudes and behaviours
- Liveable communities
- Employment
- Systems and processes
The online survey is available at www.yoursaywingecarribee.com.au/disability-inclusion-action-plan until February 4, 2022.
To request a hard copy, or for assistance in completing the survey contact Council's Ageing and Disability Officer on phone 4868 0888 or email mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au.
