Organised by the Southern Highlands Cycling Club, the social race will feature multiple categories to cater for those looking to try racing all the way to your serious trail fiends.
After two COVID-disrupted years now behind them, club president Zac Hulm said members were just looking forward to being out on the bike.
"We're very excited about starting up mountain biking again," he told the Southern Highland News.
"Everything was a bit intermittent. It's not just mountain biking that the club does, we also do road and track racing at the velodrome as well. We did get in a few here or there but the calendar was all over the place.
"We've already returned to road racing and the velodrome is due to start on Wednesday weather permitting."
Whilst cyclists could still get out during lockdown as part of COVID-safe exercise, organising meets was prohibited.
"Across the disciplines we had to be guided by NSW Cycling, which is now AusCycling," Hulm explained.
"The issue was around social distancing. We did a lot of handicap races as well. It wasn't necessarily the racing that was the problem, it was the before and after gathering of people that was the issue."
Those interested in joining the club can check out the Facebook page to stay in the loop around future events.
