Meg Patey Ceramics in Colo Vale will open its doors to the Southern Highland community. Meg has been a potter for more than 30 years, where she makes decorated earthenware plus special pieces using the reduced lustre technique
Loopline Pottery in Balmoral will also open its doors. Steve Harrison and Janine King have worked together for the past 46 years. They were tragically burnt out in the catastrophic Green Wattle Creek bushfire in December 2019. They have rebuilt their workshop and have begun creating once more.
Steve and Janine make their clay onsite and make the porcelain body from local porcelain stone materials
Studios are open 10 am to 4 pm, Saturday and Sunday and entry is free.
It's a welcome opportunity for the broader community to step inside a creative space, chat with a local artist and experience the simple pleasures of clay and the making process
Meg Patey Ceramics is located at 67 Colo Road Colo Vale.
Loopline Pottery is located at 5 Railway Parade, Balmoral Village.
For any enquiries, contact Meg on 0438016630.
