NSW Police have charged two people following an investigation into alleged cattle fraud valued at $44,000 in the Camden area.

Earlier this year, detectives from the Camden Police Area Command and Rural Crime Prevention Team commenced an investigation following reports of cattle fraud in Sydney's south-west.
Police were told the owners of a rural cattle property in Greendale transferred more than $44,000 for the purchase of 32 cattle between May and June this year, following recommendations by a former employee.
Police identified that the funds were allegedly transferred into a woman's bank account purporting to be a business, and fraudulent invoices were sent in return.
Following extensive investigations, a 26-year-old woman was arrested at Goulburn Police Station on Wednesday September 22, 2021.
She was issued a Court Attendance Notice for five counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception.
The Marulan woman is due to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday November 23, 2021.
Following further inquiries, a 23-year-old man was issued with a Court Attendance Notice on Tuesday November 2, 2021, charged with five counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.
The Glenmore Park man will appear in Picton Local Court on Friday January 21, 2022.
