Braebrook farm was developed by Geoffrey and Pamela Coghlan over 30 years ago as a cattle and thoroughbred property.
The house, designed by Rick Turner, is situated to take in views of the valley north towards the Gib and the Wingecarribee River, and to be out of sight of other properties around it. It was designed to accommodate Geoffrey and Pamela's large family of children and grandchildren.
With the deaths of Geoffrey and Pamela, the property is no longer practical for the family and interests have diverged.
The garden, loved by Pamela, was developed in an empty paddock and now has mature trees and plantings designed to enhance the view and block the prevailing southwesterly winds.
Planting of trees in the paddocks have provided shelter of the livestock and dams built to ensure the property has a good supply of water. A bore was dropped and the property has a 60-meg irrigation licence, during the last drought farming continued and stock were well supplied with feed and water throughout that drought.
The property is being sold by McGrath Estate Agents in conjunction with Inglis Rural Properties and was last traded over 30 years ago.
