After the start of their season was delayed by COVID-19, the siblings made the most of Sunday's first round, by claiming gold and silver medals respectively.
During the tournament, Mireille partnered up with fellow IAS beach volleyball 2022 scholarship applicant and Woonona product Yasmim Ramos.
The pair cruised through to the under 16 girls final and took gold in a solid performance - demonstrating a high calibre of play throughout all their matches.
Their opponents in the final, Oriwia Noble and Remi Song, were Mireille's beach partners from last season.
Not to be outdone was older sister Alexandria, who teamed up with new partner Alicia O'Connor, Alexandria - currently ranked number five in the under 17 girls division in the country - and was pitted against Mali Towers and Lara Limbrick (ranked number four) in the under 18 girls decider.
The grand final went to three sets with Towers and Limbrick winning the first 18-8 before Smith and O'Connor stormed back in the second - winning 18-14.
Despite their best efforts, Towers and Limbrick held their nerve in the third (12-6), to win gold two sets to one - seeing Smith and O'Connor claim silver in their first competition as partners.
