The Gibraltar Hotel advertised 105 tickets for the first Sunday Jazz Session since post-lockdown that would take place on November 14.
Gibraltar Hotel executive and Sunday jazz committee member Geoff Prenter was "absolutely stoked" with the interest.
"They went in two hours, we had 105 and bam! They were gone," he said.
"It shows how desperate people are to get out and into the swing of things."
Jazz vocalist Kate Wadey and the Ben Jones quartet will kick off the Sunday sessions.

Mr Prenter said it was a "big social day" for attendees that could relax and have some lunch while they watched the show.
"It's great for us and a wonderful afternoon for three hours," Mr Prenter continued.
He also said there were many jazz lovers in the Highlands.
"It is amazing how many there are," he began.
"They are not all over 60, there are young ones too, it is quite mixed."
He also mentioned that providing Highlanders with the chance to perform was at the heart of the hotel.
Ms Wadey and the quartet will be followed by a group of musicians who have finished their studies at the Sydney Conservatorium on November 28.
The group of up and coming performers, known as The Next Generation, have kept the passion for jazz alive in the Highlands.
