Their 2021 season might have been cut short due to COVID-19 but it hasn't stopped the Shoalhaven District Football Association from this week naming all its major award winners, via an online presentation.

The competition's two major awards went to Shoalhaven Heads-Berry's Scott Culey and Callala's Madison Cater, who were named men and women's first grade players of the season respectively.
Culey, who scored three goals from his 14 matches for the Sharks, had helped Hayden Lavender's side into fourth when the Blackmore Bolden Shield season was suspended.
While Cater scored an incredible 37 goals from her 13 fixtures, steering her Brumbies to an undefeated year, which included 14 wins and one draw.
Other first grade men's award winners were Bomaderry, who were crowned premiers and competition champions, and Illaroo's golden boot winner Evan Leedham, who scored nine goals from his 14 appearances.
Leedham finished one goal ahead of quartet Alex Rogan (Shoalhaven United), Ben Seyffer (Bomaderry), Ivan Katusa (Milton-Ulladulla) and Nathan Thomas (Heads), who all found the back of the net eight times in 2021.
In the reserve grade men's competition, United claimed both the premiership and competition championship, Wreck Bay's Brendan Hiriart (21 goals) took out the golden boot and Culburra Joel Fowler and Milton's Nathan Henry shared player of the year honours.
Wrapping up the senior men's award winners were third grade recipients Sussex Inlet (premiers and competition champions) and Sussex's Riley Jarrett (golden boot with 16 goals and player of the year).
Joining Cater in the women's first grade winners list were the Brumbies (premiers and competition champions) and United's Shaylee Meehan, who scored a sensational 39 goals this year.
In second grade, Callala was crowned women's premiers and competition champions, while Culburra's Kailey Timbs (22 goals) and Milton's Grace Johnson took out golden boot and player of the year respectively.
Moving onto the over 30 women's division and St George Basin Red took out both the premiership and competition championship, with their striker Kate Hurley (21 goals) winning golden boot.
Hurley and Dragons Red teammates Lauren Alston, as well as Basin White's Sarah De Vries were unveiled as joint winners for player of the year.
In the over 35 men's, Sussex Inlet made a clean sweep of the four awards, with the team winning the premiership and competition championship, Rohan Daley claiming golden boot and Nathan McNamara crowned player of the year.
It was a similar result in the over 45 men, with Illaroo securing all four pieces of silverware.
The team won both the premiership and competition championship, while Stuart Drury took home the golden boot and player of the year prizes.
Rounding out the individuals recognised were the SDFA miscellaneous plaques, which went to Shoalhaven Heads-Berry (club of the year), Warrick Schutz (referee of the year), Bomaderry's Dale Russell (men's coach of the year), Callala's Jarrod Horton (women's coach of the year), Huskisson-Vincentia's Henry Gray (men's rookie of the year), Huskisson's Emily Thompson (women's rookie of the year) and Milton-Ulladulla (club champion).
