Exhibition: Awash with Colour
- Until November 2, Bowral Art Gallery
This is your last chance to see Awash with Colour. It showcases the beauty and possibilities of watercolours and their vibrancy. It is an annual exhibition by the Tuesday morning watercolour group who cannot wait to show Highlanders what they have been working on.
Community screening of the film A Fire Inside
- November 3, Empire Cinema, 6.30pm - 9.30pm
Highlanders have the chance to watch a free screening of a film that documents the devastations and community spirit of the Black Summer bushfire. People are advised to have a look at To Watch or Not to Watch if they think they might be triggered. Flyers for local support services will also be distributed at the cinema if you need to speak to somebody about the film.

New action movie releases
- From November 4, Empire Cinema
Mavel's Eternals and The Many Saints of Newark; a prequel to the drama series The Sopranos, will premiere in the Highlands this week.

Exhibition: Shindig
- November 4 - 9, Bowral Art Gallery, 10am - 4pm
Jane Wray's latest exhibition Shindig is a celebration of pastels and is full of colour. The showcase explores different subject matters such as cityscapes, still life and florals, as well as a variety of art styles such as impressionism and abstract. Mrs Wray hopes it is a "knees up and happy dance" with the easing of restrictions.
Railway Street Farmers Market
- November 4, Corners of Railway Street and Spring Street, Moss Vale, 3pm - 6pm
Grab some seasonal produce harvested by local growers this week. Highlanders also have the opportunity to meet the growers at the market.
La Serenissima Reflections Of The Decadence And Decay Of Venice
- November 6 - December 6, Milk Factory Gallery, 10am - 4pm
Artist Bruce Chanter brings his love of Venice to life in this new exhibition. Forty-two oil paintings and eight drawings and photographs will be featured in the gallery. The artworks will explore the history, colours and textures of the Italian city.

Exhibition: Petrichor - The Smell of Rain Annabel Nowlan
- November 6, Mental Bowral, 3pm - 6pm
Australian artist Annabel Nowlan has created 24 different artworks that Highlanders can admire. The exhibition was also showcased at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery. The artworks will also be on sale.
John Sharp AM will also speak at the exhibition.
Highlanders can hear Annabel speak about her artworks, and ask her questions on November 7 at the gallery. People can register for the artist Q&A here.
Sunday Painters Series with Clara Adolphs
- November 7, Ngununggula Gallery, 10am - 1pm
Clara Adolphs kicks off the first of Ngununggula's fortnightly Sunday Painters Series. Highlanders have the opportunity to learn from local artists and use a variety of mediums like watercolours, acrylic and oil paints.
Classes are $150 and will be limited to 10 people. All attendees must register and can make bookings here.
