A man has been charged following a pursuit from Campbelltown to the Southern Highlands yesterday.

According to NSW Police at about 9.15pm on August 11 they received several reports that a vehicle had crashed into a heavy vehicle and barrier on the Hume Highway near the Brooks Road exit, Campbelltown.

Police were told the vehicle was seen swerving across lanes prior to the crash.
It will be alleged the driver failed to stop after the crash and continued travelling down the highway.
Officers attached to Campbelltown Highway Patrol initiated a pursuit with the vehicle just after the Narellan Road exit.
The low-speed pursuit ended in Berrima, where the vehicle crashed into shrubs on the median strip of the Hume Highway, just after 10pm.
The 23-year-old man was arrested an taken to Bowral Hospital for mandatory testing, before being taken to Campbelltown Police Station.
The Chester Hill man was charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, and not comply with noticed direction re COVID-19.
He was refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on August 12.
