The Moss Vale Pony Club (MVPC) and SoHi Showjump Club gave their furry friends plenty of rides, pats and carrots for the occasion.
Moss Vale Pony Club secretary Melissa Hayward said all of the horses had a happy birthday.
"I think they had lots of fun," she said.
"Every year we have tried to celebrate the lovely furry animals."
The SoHi Showjump Club gathered at Bong Bong Racecourse on Saturday for some riding and jumping.
The Moss Vale Pony Club celebrated the occasion at the Southern Highlands Carriage Club grounds in Bundanoon on Sunday.
Their celebration in Bundanoon coincided with their rally day.
Horses were treated to some timed relays, practiced their techniques with the Stockman's Challenge, did some paired work with their riders.
"The horses loved galloping around and going out to do different things," Mrs Hayward added.
The rides were also capped off with a sausage sizzle.
The riders also went inside to sing and had some carrot cake, which honoured their riding companions and different equestrian disciplines.
While the horses could not join their human friends due to the rain, and could not have any carrot cake, they were not forgotten - they were treated to many carrots.
Mrs Hayward said she bought several kilos which the horses gleefully munched over the weekend.
