A Telstra spokesperson has confirmed a mobile phone outage that has impacted a mobile base station near the Botanic Gardens in Bowral and has affected mobile services.
"We have engaged technicians to investigate and restore the fault as quickly as possible," they said.
"There was also planned maintenance work taking place that may have temporarily impacted services. Coverage have improved considerably since yesterday.
"We know how frustrating it can be when mobile services don't work like they should, so are working hard to restore them as quickly as possible.
"We thank everyone for their patience and understanding."
In the meantime, customers with a handset that is WIFI calling equipped can use their home or busines WIFI to remain connected when indoors.

The Telstra network is experiencing technical issues across the Southern Highlands, including Bowral, Moss Vale, Berrima, Burradoo, Sutton Forrest, Belanglo, Kangaloon, and Glenquarry.
According to the Telstra website, you may not be able to use your phone as they work to restore services. There is no estimated time for when services will return.
