The hospital was granted $8.9 million as part of a $55 million allocation to complete its second stage of upgrades.
According to the South Western Sydney Local Health District website, the second stage involves the development of a new pharmacy and central services department, and a renal unit for the hospital.
Member for Wollondilly Nathaniel Smith said the funding enables the second stage of upgrades to be completed successfully.
"We would see a wonderful stage two, like we had a wonderful stage one," he said.
"It will cater for the growing needs of the population and compete with hospitals in the Sydney metropolitan area."
The hospital welcomed a new pharmacy double the size of its previous in April this year.

The SRLX received $4.6 million as part of a $5.2 million Restart package, which was allocated to councils and organisations in the south-east and the Tablelands for the renewal of infrastructure.
In an aim to "deliver new nature-based tourism opportunities", $2.3 million was also allocated to restore Wombeyan Caves.
The regional NSW budget paper also revealed that the $250 prepaid travel card allowance for seniors in regional areas will be extended for another two years.
"Seniors in the Wingecarribee LGA will continue to benefit from the extension of the $250 per year Travel Card program which will assist with the cost of living, and enable them to be more active in their communities," Mr Smith said.
The Regional Seniors Travel Card Scheme can be used for fuel, taxi services or NSW Trainlink tickets.
A total of $117.2 million was allocated to the initiative in this year's budget.
